Bluegrass Billbug Control in Lawns
If you have not already treated your lawns for Bluegrass Billbug, now is the time. Their damage is often overlooked because it looks much like drought stress. Damage usually appears in late June and continues through August. After eggs hatch the larvae begin feeding in the lawn. Do the "tug test" by pulling the affected turf upward. if it comes up easily and a saw-dust-like material is present - billbugs are likely the culprit.
